Love Letter to the Northern Beaches

July 16, 2017

I have lived a few different places in my life: India (7 months), Canada (1 year), Trondheim (1 year), Oslo (forever), Bergen (5 years), Reykjavik (4 years), Rome (7 months), Brazil (4 months), Brisbane (6 months) and Sydney (Kirribilli, Newtown and the Northern Beaches 1.5 years), Cairns (still counting), but I have to say, living in the Northern Beaches is the most beautiful place I have ever lived. Life there was relaxed. I lived five minutes from the beach, and every day after work and the weekend was a holiday. People walking their dogs along the boardwalks of Dee Why and Manly, the empty pristine beaches at Curl Curl and Freshwater. Not to mention the adorable shops in Freshwater. The Bondi to Coogee walk is also perfect. The perfect surf waves. I will never forget the warm and beautiful summer of 17' on the Northern Beaches.
